Xie Leping, the dog's handler, started working with the dog earlier in 2013 and retired on November 21. He said the dog is just like his brother. They have a special connection after having spent such a long time together.

In September, a loyal dog reportedly waited outside emergency room for his elderly owner in Changchun hospital while he was undergoing an operation.
