Horrific abuse meted out on toddler by nanny facing attempted murder charges

A nanny is facing an attempted murder charge over a catalogue of alleged abuse she meted out to a two-year-old girl.

Jolly Tumuhirwe, 22, is apparently shown hitting the toddler, throwing her to the floor when she is sick, standing on her with her full weight and then kicking her across a room.

She is now facing a possible life sentence if convicted after being charged.

Video shows Tumuhirwe feeding the young girl at her home in Uganda, but when she doesn’t eat her food she hits her repeatedly to the head.

After a few moments the girl is sick on the floor when Tumuhirwe pushes her violently to the tiled floor before standing up and using a hard object to hit the screaming girl’s backside – again repeatedly.

When the girl tries to protect herself, the nanny appears to move her hand out of the way to continue hitting her.

She then walks on the girl’s back and kicks her into a chair. She then stamps on her back before picking the girl up roughly by the arm and carrying her to another room.

The girl’s mother told the Daily Monitor: ‘We took her to the hospital for medical check up and she is okay. We will be returning to the hospital next week.’

Tumuhirwe, from Uganda, will appear before the court on December 8 and is remanded in custody.
