Manchester United ready to sign Real Madrid duo Pepe and Fabio Coentrao in double transfer deal

Manchester United are lining up a double deal to sign Real Madrid duo Pepe and Fabio Coentrao in the January transfer window.

United boss Louis van Gaal has been promised big funds in the new year to further strengthen his squad, with defensive cover on the cards.

And claims in Spain suggest United are ready to go all out for powerful Madrid centre back Pepe and his team-mate Coentrao in a double deal.

Pepe would add significant cover and strength to the middle of the back-line, while Coentrao can play at left-back or on the wing, giving plenty of options.

The pair would likely cost a combined fee of £30million.

Mercedes-Benz Future Truck 2025: The truck that will drive itself

Trucks — not cars — will be the pioneers of driverless technology in the very near future

FORGET driverless cars, get ready for trucks that can drive themselves.
Mercedes-Benz believes the technology that enables vehicles to drive themselves will be pioneered by trucks rather than cars, and they could be on the road within 10 years.

“Trucks mostly use freeways, which is where this technology is already well developed and is most reliable, so it makes sense they can lead the way,” said Mercedes-Benz technology expert Ralf Lamberti during a demonstration of automated vehicle technology in Silicon Valley today.

“Trucks are operated by big fleets, they have trained drivers, and there can be a massive fuel economy benefits which can save them thousands of dollars each year,” he said.

The truck of the future

The Mercedes-Benz Future Truck 2025 released earlier this year has radar and camera systems that detect lane markings, other vehicles and red and green traffic lights.

When the system is operating, the driver does not need to touch the steering wheel, the brakes or the accelerator pedal.

The technology also uses GPS maps to determine the speed limit and to detect when a truck is approaching a hill — and then chooses the best gear for fuel-efficiency.

But the automated truck will never put drivers out of business because by law there must always be a driver behind the wheel.

“It’s a bit like autopilot on a plane; the plane can fly itself but of course the pilot must be there to handle any situation. So it will be the same with cars and trucks,” said Mr Lamberti.

Many luxury cars today already have radar cruise control systems that keep a distance from the vehicle ahead and brake automatically when the car in front comes to a stop.

When the technology is applied to trucks, however, Mercedes-Benz believes it will primarily benefit long haul drivers who use major highways between Australia’s capital cities, by making them less fatigued and using less fuel.

Although it’s still 10 years away authorities have already ruled out allowing anyone to use the technology to have a nap or drink and drive.

Police in Australia say drivers must remain below the legal alcohol limit and attentive to the road conditions at all times, even if a vehicle is equipped with driver aids.

Automated driving has created a dilemma for authorities worldwide. At present driverless cars are only allowed to be used by specialist engineers who work for car companies and technology developers.

The North American states of California and Nevada have allowed testing of driverless cars since 2012, although there must be a specially-trained driver behind the wheel at all times.

To date, Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Google are the only companies to be actively testing the technology on open roads but Japanese companies Toyota and Honda are also developing similar systems on their test tracks.

Last year Volvo unveiled an intelligent truck that can automatically follow the truck ahead in a convoy but it did not have the ability to negotiate tight turns or recognise red and green lights.

How To Get OS X Yosemite Style Notification Center On iPad

After years of begging for it, Notification Center’s relatively recent addition to iOS arguably came far too late in the game when compared to the feature that often led people to call Android the king of notifications. Right now, with iOS 8 still fresh in the memory, users of Notification Center will have their own thoughts on where the feature is headed. Now very much part of OS X Yosemite, Notification Center isn’t likely to go anywhere soon.

Looking at the difference between Notification Center on the iPad and on the iPhone for a moment though, the differences really are non-existent. Even with the extra screen space available on Apple’s tablets, the way Notification Center looks and operates is exactly the same across all of the iOS devices currently in Apple’s stable. For some people that simply won’t do, and for those people there is Centrum.

Centrum for iPad main

A jailbreak tweak and available for a dollar right now from Cydia under the BigBoss repo, Centrum is an iPad-only tweak that brings a little of the OS X Yosemite to the iPad by pushing Notification Center over to the left or right-hand side of the screen rather than having it something that is pulled down from the top. It also has the added benefit of not completely obscuring what’s happening on-screen, so if you’re using a calculator widget for example, you’ll still be able to see your spreadsheet while doing your sums. Something many will find handy in a lot of other situations too.

centrum1

While it’s clearly true the Centrum isn’t going to revolutionize the way you use your iPad, it’s a step in the right direction. Hopefully more features will be added with updates, but for now Centrum isn’t going to break the bank at a dollar just the way it is.

Meet iPhone 6S, Inspired By Apple Watch [Concept Images]

A new concept has emerged for the iPhone 6S, which shows the device carrying a design language strikingly similar to the Apple Watch. Dubbed as the ‘iPhone EDITION’, it’s one of those daring concepts that takes a bold approach towards design and function.

The designer behind the masterpiece – Grisha Serov – has surprisingly cut down the screen size on the device by 0.2-inches bringing it down to 4.5, but has touted the display as an edge-to-edge one, and if we are to judge by the images, the front panel seems to be extending all the way till the inside of the phone’s frame. Very brave.

10

The case is made from steel and retains the same shape akin to the iPhone 6, but here are the key differences; the bands that run across the back of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus have been done away with, and you might think that cellular signals will have trouble on an all-steel casing, well, Serov inventively runs the band as a “glossy loop” around the edge of the phone, which helps it neatly blend in with the rest of the design.

Coming back to the casing, the smartphone comes in not just smaller than the iPhone 6, but slightly thicker as well at 7.6mm compared to the current depth at 6.9mm. Reason? Serov doesn’t agree with a protruding camera lens on a phone that carries some pretty flushed surfaces, so he moved the lens inside of the case. More so, the iconic Touch ID Home button has been done away with in favor of an embedded one, which also functions as a fingerprint sensor, and wake / sleep button.

This button has been relocated to the top of the phone as was the case with earlier iPhones.
Serov also redesigned the volume buttons to an extent that it’s now a single piece on its own, and also doubles up as a mute switch – a feature which otherwise carries its own dedicated button.

The overall design is very bold to say the least, and we’ll give Serov a thumbs up for his efforts.

Check out the concept in all its glory below, and let us know what you think about it.

B.A.P reported to have filed to nullify their contract with TS Entertainment

B.A.P reported to have filed to nullify their contract with TS Entertainment

BAP_1417070274_af_org

It seems another lawsuit has been filed for a contract nullification in the K-Pop world, as a report has surfaced claiming that B.A.P has filed against their agency TS Entertainment.

According to an exclusive by Xsports News, all 6 members filed to nullify their contract. It's said their application for the suit was submitted on the 26th at the Seoul Court.

It has also been revealed that that the contract was designed to only be beneficial to the agency and disadvantageous to the members. In addition to the length of the contract, the boys are said to have only received 18,000,000 KRW (~ 16,000 USD) per member for the 3 years that they've been active.

Despite the unfair conditions, the boys have released a total of 11 albums and promoted endlessly all over the world, even until the point that their health deteriorated.
In response to this report, T.S. Entertainment has revealed that they are looking into confirming the matter and will be releasing an official statement soon.

Apple iOS 9 Concept Comes Packed With New And Exciting Features [Video]

iOS 8 finally opened up the Cupertino company’s mobile software to the world of third-party keyboards and widgets, but as we revel in that, we still want more. Ralph Theodory – a tech enthusiast seems to be one eager fan awaiting the release of iOS 9, as he released a video showcasing his concept of the next major update, which Apple could learn from.

While the concept carries the same design language of iOS 8, Theodory really kicks it up with the features and interface for iOS 9, and well, why not. Here’s what he proposes.

iOS 9 main

1- Search In Settings
This feature should allow users to search for any sort of setting in the Settings app for super quick access. Very handy for new iOS users.

2- History In Settings
Every action and every change you made will be logged and recorded. Users will be able to undo any of those logged changes to help them revert back to the earlier settings. Useful for when a user forgets about the changes made, or in case, if changes were made by mistake.

3- Color Look
Theodory wants Apple to add some colors to the new iOS, well at least as far as buttons, various UI elements and Control Center are concerned, and who doesn’t like an occasional change of colors, right?

4- Night Mode
The all-white menu background changes to black upon pressing the Home button thrice in quick succession. This should help keep the display easy on the eyes in low light, without needing to dim down anything.

5- Settings Everywhere
In the app switcher, users can access settings for any app by simply swiping down on it and revealing the settings option.

6- Close All Running Apps
A much needed feature; one button to rule them all to close all those apps running in the background.

7- Siri Spell
Considering how Siri is unable to recognize some words, Siri will prompt the user to spell it out for future reference, as it learns from it.

8- SpringBoard Display Types – Round SpringBoard
Users will be able to switch between three types of SpringBoards: Normal, Zoomed, and the rounded Apple Watch-like home screen.

9- Language Auto Playlists
Not sure how Apple will do this, but Theodory wants his iPhone’s Music app to automatically recognize the track’s language and categorically place it under a set playlist.

10- New Music Features
A swipe up from the bottom of the Now Playing screen will allow users access to settings like ‘Set as Ringtone’, ‘Equalizer’ and more, without needing to go through a menu or anything.

11- Smart Sleep Mode
Siri checking in after every 5 songs and no user activity to see if I’m asleep is a neat feature indeed. Users can either press a button on the iPhone or answer via the hands-free microphone. Music playback will be stopped if Siri doesn’t hear back from you in ten seconds.

12- Smart Shuffle
An automatic playlist will be created from the best of songs found on the Internet, and will be based according to your environment such as the time, weather, your movement and occasions.

13- New Video Feed
Your native Video app will now list all feeds from various video streaming apps installed on your iOS device.

14- Lock Screen Clock
The lock screen is now customizable with widgets downloaded from the App Store, and custom watch faces as well.

15- Learn
Theodory is looking at Tips evolving into Learn – an app that will teach you everything there is to finding your way around your iPhone and iOS. Pretty useful for new users.

16- Support
This app will house all your troubleshooting guides for your device and even allow you get a Genius Remote Appointment.

17- Button Control
Button behavior can be customized, with the addition of setting virtual ones on the screen.

18- Bug Report
Beta versions of iOS will now come with a bug reporter included within the Support app.

19- Accessories
A nifty little tool, designed to verify and check if an attached accessory is working correctly with your device or not.

20- Hardware
Users will be able to perform diagnostic tests for all hardware components and sensors bundled in your iOS device.

21- Genius Bar
It would be a fine day when Apple can remotely detect all your iPhone or iPad troubles through remote diagnostic tests. This feature will allow for just that facility.

I feel like a wild animal': trail running in Dartmoor

Fancy straying away from the pavement? Why not head to Dartmoor, where rain is plentiful but tarmac scarce

Adharanand running in Dartmoor.

If you plan to go running in Dartmoor, you can’t be too precious about the weather. All night, the rain has been hammering down on the roof of our holiday cottage near the village of Brentor on the western edge of the moor. Every time I wake up, I think about my run the next morning. Will the hills be washed away?

The next morning, while my family – fledgling runners at best – tuck into pancakes and toast, swanning around barefoot on the heated stone floor, I set off across the hill that rises up outside the front gate.

The ground is well and truly soaked. Almost from the first step, I’m splashing through puddles. At first it is freezing, but after a while my feet begin to glow with warmth.

Rather than plan a route, I decide to follow my nose. I soon find myself in the midst of a barren, almost desert landscape, with no other living creature in sight. Just hills of rock and tough, brown grass, without hardly even a tree or hedge. I once went running across Dartmoor with a guide and he took me to all the most scenic spots. Running alone like this may mean I miss some of the local highlights, the most Hobbit-like valleys and dramatic tors, but there’s something exciting and adventurous about being out here alone, making my own way.

As I run, the weather seems to shift through the seasons at will. One minute I have my head down and I’m scrambling through a freezing hail storm, the next minute the clouds have parted and a beam of warm sunlight strikes my back like a gift from the heavens.

At one point, I emerge from the wilderness to cross a road. I feel like a wild animal who has stepped into the human world for a second, before rushing across the road and back into the wasteland.

Eventually I see some strange lumps sticking out of the ground that look like the roofs of some buried cottages. Intrigued, I run towards them, only to discover a military firing range. MoD warning signs stick up out of the grass here and there. The wind and the silence of the moor suddenly feel ominous. Should I be here? I decide to turn back. I’ve already run further than I intended to.

On the way back, with so few landmarks, it’s easy to get lost. As the rain begins to rattle down on me again, I start thinking it was irresponsible to set out alone, without a phone or a map. What if I twist my ankle?

My breathing starts to get quicker as I run harder, trying not to panic. One wrong pathway could lead me miles off course. And then I see it, our little house, a refugee tucked down in the valley, out of the wind. I skip through the puddles, sprinting to the door.

After a shower, sitting by the log burner, my body tingles as it does after you’ve taken a dip in the cold, English sea, or come out of a Japanese onsen. I feel like I’m radiating health, as though I’ve been submerged in nature, dipped head to toe in its freshness.

But there’s no time to sit and bask in it. The breakfast is finished and the rest of my family are now ready to explore. So, swapping trail shoes for wellies, it’s back into the elements. Luckily, the sun has come out, and we enjoy a pleasant walk up the nearest tor to the highest working church in England.
The tiny Church of St Michael de Rupe sits on the rocky outcrop like something from a gothic horror film. My children run around pretending it’s the charms classroom at Hogwarts.

By the time we make it back from the hill – which was a little further than anticipated – we’re all exhausted and happy to flop down in front of a film as the winter sun sets outside.

The next morning, I decide to run an easier route along an old disused railway line. It’s now a cycle path, so I shouldn’t get lost. However, once I get going, I find myself disappointed to be running along a straight tarmac path. The wide hills beckon me on either side, and I suddenly feel trapped on the concrete. Even though this is what I usually run on at home, I’m missing yesterday’s squelchy mud and the buzz of slipping and sliding as I run; of traversing the open countryside. This path feels far too tame. So, at the first opportunity, I find a stile and hit the trails again. Although I end up having to retreat out of a field in the face of some frisky cows, and crossing a stream up to my knees in icy water, it’s much more fun.

Dartmoor is not the place for running along tarmac pathways. It’s a place to experience the full gamut of wild running. And if it’s raining? Even better.

The cottage in Dartmoor was booked through Classic Cottages – the UK’s leading independent cottage holiday company and specialist in the south-west. For more information and to book one of Classic Cottages’ coastal and country holiday discoveries, call 01326 555 555 or visit www.classic.co.uk

Raddy: Myanmar need to believe in themselves

Myanmar National Team head coach Raddy Avramovic urges his side to start having faith in themselves after their 4-2 defeat against Singapore on Wednesday evening.

The result meant that Myanmar drops to the bottom of the group, with a solitary point and a negative goal difference.

But Avramovic felt that Myanmar showed that they were able to match Singapore, but just needed a little bit more of self-belief.

“Over 90 minutes, Myanmar did well. The players showed that they can compete with Singapore,” Avramovic said.

“Today, we scored two and we could have easily scored at least 2 more.
“(But) those moments when I see an attack break down because of one bad pass or lack of concentration is frustrating.

“We were a little unlucky because at 3-2 we could have scored more goals but the players dribbled too much instead of going (straight) for goal.

“They just need to believe they can do it.”
Avramovic also believed that Singapore won the game because they were helped by defensive errors at the back, and predicted the Lions to struggle against Malaysia in their final game.

“Christmas came too early for Singapore because we gave some presents, at least 3 goals,” Avramovic explained.

“Our plan (in the first half) was to try to keep Singapore away from our goal, but we conceded those 3 very easy goals.

“One thing that’s missing is a leader. You have to have leaders in the defence. They (Myanmar defenders) must act in those (dangerous) moments.

“I’m afraid if they play like (they did) today it will be difficult for Singapore. I think Malaysia is a good team and as the competition progresses they will get better.”

10 Habits That Make Everyone Hate You On Social Media

Your Vaguebooking and constant retweeting may be annoying everyone. Here's what you're doing that might make people click "unfollow."
More than one out of every seven people in the world use Facebook, and people post well over 200 billion tweets per year. We have a lot to say.
However, many people might find a lot of our musings incredibly annoying. It's human nature. Note the following 10 techniques guaranteed to get you unfriended and unfollowed.

1. Always Selling

One of the worst sins, says Nika Stewart, owner of social media management company Ghost Tweeting, is posting only when you have something to promote. It’s cheesy and it’s spammy.
Social media is a conversation. No one wants to have a conversation with a door-to-door salesman.

2. Sending Automated Messages To New Followers

You may think sending a direct message to a new Twitter follower is a great idea, but experts advise to tread lightly.
"Thanking new connections and welcoming them into your community is the right sentiment and can lead to the beginning of terrific relationships," says Stewart. But auto direct messages on Twitter, she explains, "are generic, and lack any personal information. So in many cases, they make you look uncaring and offend your target."

3. Oversharing

Even if the only connections you have are your 10 closest friends, status updates and tweets are less private than you think. If you’ve forgotten who all your friends are, then definitely save the details of last night’s hookup for a carefully chosen few.
"You should be texting them, rather than posting in a public manner," says Catherine Cook, cofounder and VP of brand strategy at MeetMe.com. Or better yet, call people one at a time to yak.

4. Not Thanking People

If someone answers a question, or shares your content with an enlightening comment, then acknowledge them. Ignoring them is much like disregarding someone who holds a door for you. It’s bad karma.

5. Reposting Too Much

Sending the same link 10 times in two hours may marginally increase the chance people click on your post. But if people stop following you because of your digital clutter, then you don’t come out ahead.

6. Sharing Chain Letters And Urban Legends

Anything that puts unwanted social pressure on people to take action is a bad idea. Likewise, before you share something shocking, do a quick Google search to find out if it’s on Snopes, the urban legends website.

7. Vaguebooking

This is defined as posting a status such as: "I guess I know now who my real friends are."
"[Vaguebooking] is designed to get the comments," says Cook. Vaguebooking status updates are "usually something that’s just drama between friends," she adds. That sort of drama doesn’t win you new Facebook friends or followers.

8. Hijacking The Bandwagon

If you’re interested in contributing to a trending hashtag on Twitter, by all means read and post along. But sometimes people just look at the list and think: "It’s trending! I should use it," says Cook. "Well, why is it trending? Don’t just hop on."
You’d hate to post a link to your old travel trips for Rio de Janeiro when it turns out the hashtag has to do with a major natural disaster that just hit the city.

9. Lacking Decorum

"The broad philosophy is that you should have a bigger filter online than you do in real life, and I think the reverse is actually the case," says Cook. We say stuff online we’d never tell people to their faces. Even though in most cases, our private nastiness won’t be eternally recorded; whereas our social media posts will.
If you feel the need to insult a whole class of people, swear like a sailor, or post a political screed, ask yourself if you’d do it in front of 100 assembled coworkers, or in front of all your relatives at the Thanksgiving table. If you would, fine. But you probably wouldn’t.

10. Bad English

Posting. Periods. After. Every. Word. Or going over the top with ALL CAPS!!!!! On social media—as well as in more traditional communications channels—your choice of language can emphasize a point. You don’t need extra help with punctuation.

A former Miss Chile has accused Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez of texting her behind his doting girlfriend's back.
Camila Andrade claimed the striker sent her holiday snaps during a winter break in Disneyland Paris with partner Laia Grassi claiming he was with a younger relative and not his other half.
And she explained how she turned down the £33million signing when he invited her out to dinner during his World Cup preparation weeks before he was pictured on a romantic beach holiday in Mexico with his current girlfriend.
MailOnline has been unable to verify whether Miss Andrade can support her claims and attempts to contact Sanchez for comment have failed to elicit a response.

Arsenal progress to the last 16 after Yaya Sanogo stuns Borussia Dortmund

Arsenal 2 Dortmund 0

Arsenal's Sanchez celebrates his goal against Borussia Dortmund in Champions League match in London

Arsène Wenger can call off the search for the dictionary, at least for now. The Arsenal manager had said that he might have to delve for the tome to reacquaint himself with the meaning of crisis. After so many years and so many crises, he joked that he had forgotten how one could be qualified.

Many Arsenal supporters felt that the club was flirting with one as they took to the field here, on the back of three sobering results – the Champions League draw against Anderlecht, when they had led 3-0, and the Premier League losses to Swansea City and Manchester United. Per Mertesacker, the defender, said that the players had “dropped mentally”. This, he said, was a psychological challenge.

But on a dank night in north London, the players showed their mettle, albeit against a Borussia Dortmund that looked like a shadow of the team that had stormed to the final of the competition in 2013. Jürgen Klopp, the manager, lamented a lack of confidence and courage.

Arsenal were occasionally vibrant, almost always solid – which was arguably the biggest boon, after the well documented, recent lapses – and thoroughly deserved victors. The reward was a 15th consecutive qualification to the second round of Europe’s elite tournament. Whisper it, but they are not yet out of the running to nick top spot in Group D from Dortmund, which would increase their chances of a more favourable last-16 draw.

It was a game that will go down as the one in which Yaya Sanogo broke his scoring duck for the club on his 19th appearance and it was illuminated by the thrusting performances of Alexis Sánchez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Sánchez scored again; Oxlade-Chamberlain was denied only by the woodwork.

But above all, it was defined by a more balanced feel to the performance. As Wenger put it afterwards, Arsenal were “more urgent to defend”. He has regularly stressed his confidence that there is something special in his squad and there was evidence here to support him.

The opening goal always stood to be decisive and, from a Dortmund point of view, Arsenal plundered it with indecent haste. For Sanogo, it was the stuff of dreams. The 21-year-old owed his selection to Danny Welbeck’s knee injury and Olivier Giroud’s ineligibility, and a penny for the thoughts of Lukas Podolski and Joel Campbell might have been worth the investment. The World Cup winner and World Cup star respectively could not have taken kindly to being overlooked for a callow rookie. Sanogo has looked almost painfully raw during his injury-scarred Arsenal career but Wenger’s faith in him has never wavered. “Sanogo will surprise you,” the manager has said. One minute and 15 seconds were on the stadium clock when Sanogo did just that.

There was a maverick quality to his hold-up work from Calum Chambers’ throw-in, as he played a bit of keepy-uppy before executing an extravagant back-heeled flick to Santi Cazorla. Sanogo span away, then he got the ball back and, suddenly, there he was, with only Roman Weidenfeller to beat. His first touch felt heavy but with the second Sanogo poked the ball through the goalkeeper’s legs. The delirious celebrations were underpinned by an element of collective amazement. Sanogo had looked to have been marginally offside from Cazorla’s pass but the flag stayed down. The linesman was a romantic at heart.

Dortmund’s travelling fans banged their drums and bellowed their anthems throughout. Their team came to flicker on the counter in the second part of the first half and Henrikh Mkhitaryan was at the heart of their best moments. He was denied an equaliser on 39 minutes by Emiliano Martínez. Mkhitaryan’s first touch following Lukasz Piszczek’s header was perfect and the second was struck at goal from close range. Martínez diverted it past his near post. Arsenal’s third-choice goalkeeper emerged with credit, and his reflex block at the very end from the substitute Adrián Ramos was of the highest order.

Arsenal played good football in patches and they might have taken a two-goal lead in the 10th minute, when Aaron Ramsey sprang Sanogo through the Dortmund back line. This time, Sanogo opted to jink inside only to run into Marcel Schmelzer. He battled to win the ball back and, when he shot, he was denied by Matthias Ginter’s block.

Klopp had said that this engagement had represented a holiday for him; a welcome break from the nightmare that has been the Bundesliga season so far. Almost implausibly, Dortmund languish third from bottom. Klopp must be an angry tourist. He roared at the fourth official and he berated his players when they erred. If Dortmund had been poor at the outset, it was a similar story at the beginning of the second half. With the onus on them, Klopp’s team pressed onto the front foot but Arsenal, and Sánchez in particular, simply revelled in picking them off.

Sánchez barrelled through to extend Weidenfeller with a low drive while Oxlade-Chamberlain, on his 100th appearance for the club, hit a marvellous looping shot from Sánchez’s pass that rattled the crossbar.

Not unusually, Sánchez provided the champagne moment. From Cazorla’s pass, he darted inside Piszczek to open up the shooting chance at the far corner. It has become his trademark and the bend on the right-footed shot from 20 yards was beautifully judged. Sánchez had his 13th goal for the club and Wenger was out of his seat, smiling broadly and pumping his fists. It was a night for him to enjoy.

In the shed was 120 tubes – some contained stars (meals for camp), while others contained creepy crawlies, and with every hour that passed they had to select 10 tubes to open.

As the hours rolled by more and more critters spilled out into the shed and Jimmy got more and more jumpy. And Foggy was not impressed…

It turns out Jimmy isn’t as macho as Foggy thought (Picture: ITV)
Later on Jimmy suggested the pair give up, quit the task and head back to camp without getting the full amount of stars on offer.

‘I’ll stick it out til the end,’ Foggy hit back.

‘It’s like something out of a horror movie. It stinks,’ said Jimmy. ‘I might have to leave.’
‘Man up!’ Foggy snapped back.

Explaining the tension afterwards, Jimmy said: ‘In the end I started getting fed up with him a little but., He was like, “Shut up, you p****”.’

Uh oh. Now’s the chance to make your move, Jake!
I’m A Celeb continues tomorrow night at 9pm on ITV.

Could everyone stop voting for Kendra Wilkinson on I’m A Celeb. Thanks.

Could everyone stop voting for Kendra on I'm A Celeb?

Can everybody please stop voting for Kendra Wilkinson to do all the I’m A Celebrity bushtucker trials.

Seriously, who is voting for her? Who out there is enjoying this repetitive drivel? WELL?
OK, so we don’t want Jake or Foggy or Mel do step in to her shoes because experience tells us they’ll be ace and we wouldn’t be human if we didn’t want to see a smidgen of terror and/or pain at the very least…

In fact, we’re thinking Jimmy Bullard is perfect bushtucker trial fodder. He’s squeamish with zero bravado and we think he’ll push all sorts of boundaries and do all kinds of brave things to ensure he remains in Foggy’s good books.

And then there’s Buerk – he’b be a goodn too. Or Edwina – it’s time she got off her pedestal and squirmed a little don’t you think?

Yes Kendra swore a bit at Edwina and yes she’s a bit loud and a bit self-centered and a bit whiny and yes she slept with Hugh Hefner when she was just a teen BUT there’s only so much of this night in, night out torture we can take.

Heroic firefighters close road to rescue trapped pigeon

Some would argue that this is a waste of taxpayers’ money.
But a world where fire departments don’t save animals from lofty heights isn’t a world I want to live in.

So let’s salute this Cornish fire crew, who closed down a high street in Penzance to rescue a trapped pigeon.

The RSPCA gave them a call when the bird became tangled in anti-roosting netting.
Traffic was blocked for 15 minutes. No one died.

Doctor who ‘left women giving birth to have sex with a patient’ is suspended

A doctor who abandoned a pregnant woman in labour so he could have sex with a patient has been suspended.
Dr Christopher Driskill is facing a litany of allegations along with this, including being drunk while at work, falsely prescribing drugs to a sexual partner, and writing lewd notes on medical charts.

Several other women who intended to give birth at his clinic claimed they found him absent as they went into labour, forcing hospital staff to scrape together nurses in emergency situations.

Based in New Mexico in the USA, Dr Driskill, 42, was due to become the president of the New Mexico Medical Society next year, before the state’s medical board was informed of his behaviour.

The board said the wayward doctor, who is also accused of keeping a personal stash of alcohol in his desk at work, posed a ‘clear and immediate danger to the public’.

Having been suspended, the board are now in deliberations as to whether or not Dr Driskill will retain is license following the revelations.

‘Your sexual relationships and abuse of alcohol have negatively affected your practice of medicine,’ the board told him in a notice of his suspension.

The obstetrician and gynaecologist has the ability to challenge the suspension and his ban, if his license is revoked, however so far he has not done so.

Andy Murray and Kim Sears engaged: Tennis champ has finally popped the question after nine years together

Tennis star Andy Murray has proposed to long-term girlfriend Kim Sears, after more than nine years together.

The Wimbledon champion has been in a relationship with Miss Sears since they met at the US Open in 2005, apart from a brief split around five years ago.

Andy’s family – including his mum Judy, who took part in this year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing – are said to be overjoyed by the news.

A source told the Mirror the 27-year-old sports star proposed on Wednesday with an expensive diamond ring: ‘Andy spent ages thinking about the ring, he chose the design himself and picked it up last week. He then proposed on Wednesday.

‘Kim said “yes” immediately. They are completely besotted with each other and have been there for each other through thick and thin.

‘They are just going to enjoy themselves before they start planning their big day.’
Representatives have confirmed the engagement.

Sussex-born Miss Sears, 26, who has an English Literature degree, paints from their home in Surrey, where she looks after the couple’s beloved dogs Maggie May and Rusty.

It has not always been plain sailing for the couple, who split in 2009, with reports Kim, the daughter of player-turned-coach Nigel Sears, then 21, moved out of the mansion they shared in Surrey and returned home to her parents.

Kims face has became familiar to millions of tennis fans worldwide, especially at Wimbledon, as she cheers on the Scot from the stands.

Dunblane-born Murray has previously admitted he couldn’t have come back to win Wimbledon in 2013 – after his 2012 defeat – if it hadn’t been for her constant support.

In the past Murray has been notoriously reluctant to answer questions about his relationship.
Earlier this year he was forced to deny that he planned to marry her after joking about proposing on Twitter.

Asked when he plans to marry Miss Sears during a Twitter Q&A with fans in January, Murray responded: ‘We’re getting married just after Wimbledon, should be a great day.’

But just hours later, Murray was forced to issue another tweet explaining he was joking around after the original message went viral.

He tweeted: ‘3 things.. I don’t smoke grass, I’m not getting married(yet) and I don’t want to kill rafael Nadal…’

At the time a spokesman for the star confirmed that ‘Andy Murray is not getting married this summer.’

Murray flew to the Philippines to play in the International Premier Tennis League yesterday and made no hint he had anything on his mind but tennis, tweeting: ‘Off to the Philippines for the first time today, should be a fun trip… Anyone got some suggestions for first time tourists in Manila?’

Two British brothers jailed for attending Syrian terrorism training camp

Two men have become the first Britons to be jailed for terrorism training in Syria.
Mohommod Nawaz, 30, and Hamza Nawaz, 24, are brothers from Stratford, east London. They were sentenced to four-and-a-half years and three years respectively.

Sentencing, Judge Christopher Moss QC said: ‘The evidence shows you were there for jihad, or holy war, and wanted to join an extremist group.’

Much of the evidence was taken from photos and messages on the Nawaz brothers’ phones.
However, it made clear that their focus was on the Syrian regime, not on attacking UK soil.

Scotland Yard described the sentences as a ‘landmark case’. James Brokenshire, the Immigration and Security Minister, said the ruling sent a ‘clear message that people who commit, plan and support acts of terror abroad will face justice when they come back to the UK’.

The family of the brothers originally contacted police last August, to report the pair missing after they failed to return from a meal in Walthamstow.

In reality, the brothers had traveled to Turkey via France, before crossing the border into Syria.
However, they returned to the UK in September, where border officers discovered incriminating evidence on their phones, as well as ammunition.

Photos and video footage confirmed their presence at a terrorism training camp, with one clip showing a brother responding, ‘jihad, yeah’, to the question, ‘here for jihad?’ posed to him at the Syrian border.

Mohommod Nawaz was previously convicted in 2009 of blackmail, false imprisonment, kidnap and wounding. He was jailed for six years, but released on license providing he stayed in the UK.

Both brothers admitted conspiracy to attend a terrorism training camp in 2013.

Moments after taking these pictures, the photographer was mauled to death.
Darsh Patel, 22, went out hiking with friends when they spotted the bear and he started taking pictures of it.

Realising it was heading towards them, the friends tried to flee, but the student was attacked.
He was killed by the bear in September, but police have only recently released the image he took.
The bear was shot dead by officers when they discovered it guarding Patel’s dead body.
He was a student at Rutgers University and was with four friends when the deadly attack happened in Apshawa Preserve, New Jersey.

Fellow hikers warned them that the animal was there, according to NJ.com, but they went closer to have a look.

The last Patel’s friends saw of him was as he climbed some rocks in a bid to get away from the bear after they split up.
